iPhone 12 will support BeiDou navigation, according to a new report

Apple and the iPhone series in particular, their position in the Chinese market was not easy at all, as they were facing various pressures and obstacles due to local regulatory laws and legal and political conditions. Add to that some other things, such as the iPhone phones lack official support for the chinese BeiDou navigation system.

According to a new report released recently, citing that may finally change with the iPhone 12 Series. Last Wednesday, BeiDou spokesperson and director of the China Satellite Navigation Bureau, Mr. Ran Chengqi, said Sooner or later Apple will use the BeiDou navigation system.

More importantly, this ambiguous hint was later supported by various reliable sources, which in turn indicated that Apple is currently working to improve the performance and compatibility of the BeiDou navigation system with the iPhone 12 Series. And apparently, one of the tests that was done was to verify proper support for BeiDou. Currently, even the most advanced iPhone 11 Pro Max supports GPS only, in addition to A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and QZSS.

The BeiDou navigation system covers more than 200 countries around the world, has more than 100 million users and 200 million sessions per day. Devices that support BeiDou, especially smartphones, have always been popular with consumers in China and the Asia-Pacific region, so the BeiDou system provides better performance for these users. Moreover, the devices compatible with BeiDou navigation system are exported and used in more than 120 countries and regions around the world. Lack of support has been a major obstacle for Apple and compatibility with this service will provide significant benefits to a large portion of its user base.
