New official pictures of the phone Surface Duo with dual screen

The Surface Duo dual-screen phone that Microsoft unveiled for the first time in October of last year appeared in a set of new official photos released by Evan Blass, known as evleaks.

These photos show Surface Duo in the closed and open position.  The front end of the phone contains a clean Microsoft logo, and while opening it you can see the flash next to the camera in the upper-right corner, which is a new addition.  These images also show the Google Search Widget on the main screen with the date and time, and a drawer at the bottom that includes three applications, namely Microsoft Edge, OneNote and Outlook.

The drawer on the second screen contains Google apps, including Google Phone, Google Camera, and Messages.  As for the home page, it includes Microsoft applications and third-party applications.  You can also see two folders that combine Microsoft and Google apps, with a shortcut below to open Microsoft Edge and OneNote at a later time to take advantage of two screens.

It is said that this feature is called “App Groups”, and it is a feature that will allow you to create a pair of applications you use most at one time, so that you can open them at the same time quickly.

Evan Blass says this is the AT&T model, but there is no company branding on the phone.  At least not on the front end.  Surface Duo was expected to arrive in July, but that hasn't happened.  However, Microsoft is reported to have invited officials, seniors and partners to a virtual event on Surface Duo on August 12, which means Microsoft is likely preparing to launch the phone this month.
