Oxygen OS, the new OnePlus One operating system is now available

There are a few months OnePlus announced Oxygen OS, an operating system based on Android and for the phone OnePlus One.

And now it is finally available. In a blog post, one of the co-founders of OnePlus, Carl Pei says that developers have placed priority on items such as autonomy or performance rather than on the 'gadget' and sometimes unnecessary features. Moreover, Oxygen OS is described as a pure Android optimized experience for the One.

So if you expect an ultra-customized OS like the Nokia X or as MIUI, you may be disappointed.

As you will see on the little video below, the OS OnePlus much like the stock Android, which would have added some inspired features Color OS, OS Cyanogen or Paranoid Android.

Anyway, OnePlus does not want to differentiate themselves just for the sake of differentiation (a criticism that could make some manufacturers).

If you have a OnePlus One and you are interested in this new operating system, it is already possible to download on this link (where you will also find some instructions for installation). Otherwise, the video you just saw you may convince choose the OnePlus One.
