Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge may suffer the same fate as the iPhone 6 Plus
According to SquareTrade tests, the Galaxy Edge S6 folds as easily as the iPhone 6 Plus.
Remember, a few days after the start of marketing of the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Phablet, occurred the #Bendgate scandal. So it seems, the iPhone 6 would bend more easily in pockets.
But what about the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge? SquareTrade, a company that provides security services for electronic equipment, used a robot called "Bendbot" to answer this question.
First, the iPhone 6 Plus. According to SquareTrade tests, Apple Phablet would bend under a pressure of less than 50 pounds. But you know what? When the robot has exercised the same pressure on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, it was also bent and the screen began to break.
However, after the "folding" the two smartphones still work. The iPhone 6 Plus stopped working after suffering a pressure of about 81 pounds, while Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the "catastrophic failure point" was 67 pounds.
If you remember, an official had publicly stated that Samsung Galaxy S6 will not bend, just to make fun of some defect in the iPhone 6 Plus. We want to believe that, given its design (and the absence of curved screen), it is more resistant than the Galaxy Edge S6 (and iPhone 6 Plus).
