Tago Arc, the bracelet you choose the designs with your smartphone

Tago Arc is a bracelet "connected" of a new kind: it does not count your steps but can choose its reasons using a mobile application. Really stunning.

Have you ever heard of connected bracelets is not it? Maybe even you wear, the kind that knows almost everything about your life, the number of steps taken in the day the number of hours you sleep every night, among others.

Beyond the fact that it is usually pretty ugly, these bracelets have already become a banality, and besides, it seems we get weary very quickly, which does not surprise me really.

But the bracelet which I'll talk to you now could instead meet a brand new spell, as it is innovative and, frankly, fascinating. Tago Arc is a "connected" bracelet that offers none of the characteristics of other connected bracelets. It does not count your steps, it does not monitor your sleep. In short, in terms of features, we can say that it is useless.

And this is where it gets interesting. If it is useless, then what is it for? A look pretty on your wrist like-any jewelry bracelet. But then why is it connected? This is where the genius of the thing: Tago Arc is actually an electronic ink screen (E Ink) that displays live curved patterns on its surface. You see me coming: by connecting via NFC to a smartphone, you can change the patterns endlessly through an application. It offers several reasons but it is possible to create his own or even take a picture from the application to post it on the bracelet.

A marketplace for buying and selling patterns

The team BER8 - a Hungarian company, with offices in Budapest and Boston - has thought of everything: a design marketplace for bracelet on which designers can sell patterns in shared revenue Mode .

Another interesting feature with its E Ink display, particularly energy saving technology, the strap never needs to be recharged. It takes just a little shot of energy during transfer or change of pattern via NFC smartphone, allowing it to hold a display virtually no time limit.

ago Arc is a project for which funding has just ended on participatory platform Indiegogo, where he collected a total of 104,407 dollars for an initial target of 40,000. It will be available in three colors: gold, silver and black, and will be available end of 2015 at a price of 299 euros. It will be possible to buy other "shell" in silicon in six different colors. Only regret for the moment: the Tago application is only available for Android, since the NFC is not available on iPhone for anything other than the application Apple Pay, at least for the moment. Too bad when we know that iPhone owners seem more the target of this type of fashion accessory.

If the final model is actually consistent with what show the various demo videos, this stuff is really the invention fashion of the year! How we already said? Oh yes: NEEED!
