5 tips and tricks to help you speed up your Windows 10 computer
Sometimes you may find that your Windows 10 computer takes a long time when you open it, and this is usually due to some problems, such as: not having enough free space in the hard disk, or too many startup programs that take a long time to load.
Whatever the reasons, and before thinking of buying a new computer, try these quick tips and tricks that we will mention for you, that will significantly speed up your computer.
Here are 5 tips and tricks to help you speed up your Windows 10 computer:
1- Free up space on the hard drive:
Having a full hard disk will slow down your computer, requiring you to get rid of temporary operating system files using one of the cleaning programs, such as: CCleaner that cleans the cache and browser cookies, and safe deletion of files.
You can also use the built-in tools in the Windows 10 computer, such as: Storage Sense, which automatically free up space in the operating system disk by deleting those temporary files and anything in the Recycle Bin, and to do that, follow the following steps:
- In the search box at the bottom left of the screen next to the Start menu, type: Storage Sense, then click on it in the popup that appears.
- In the window that appears, you will see the amount of space used on the disk, the amount of space remaining, and at the bottom you will see an analysis of the items that take up the most space, such as: applications and temporary files.
- At the top of the screen itself, toggle the button under the (Storage) section to the ON position, as the tool will automatically free up space in the OS file storage disk by deleting those temporary files and anything in the recycle bin.
- You can also click on the (Configure Storage Sense or run) link to enter the tool’s settings screen to delete temporary files and anything in the recycle bin, according to your preferences.
- You can also transfer image, video, or music files to an external drive, USB flash drive, or your favorite cloud storage service. You should also remove programs and applications that you do not need, and uninstall the operating system programs that came previously installed bloatware.
