Samsung's whole strategy with the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is to convince potential buyers that it has overcome the design issues of the first generation of the phone, with a glass screen, stronger joints, and better protection.


The new phone comes as the successor to the Galaxy Fold from last year, and it features a new camera system, a larger external screen, in addition to making the front camera inside the screen.


The Galaxy ZFold 2 which matches its name with the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G foldable phones - is the first major update from Samsung for its flagship foldable phones, and it looks like it happened. An improvement on last year's phone flaws.


Instead of the very small external screen, Galaxy ZFold 2 offers a large 6.2-inch external screen that covers the entire front of the phone, making it more useful to users, as it allows you to take advantage of the phone without having to open it. Samsung has made the internal screen larger, as it measures 7.2 inches with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, and it contains a hole for the front camera.


The phone includes a Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, which is the latest from Qualcomm. It also has the advantage of using ultra-thin glass to protect the foldable screen, and it supports the Flex Mode feature in (Galaxy Z Flip) phones.


Samsung says: It has re-engineered the joints of the phone to increase its durability, and it is characterized by what Samsung calls the vacuum, which uses flexible fibers to clean dust or sediment from the joints to prevent damage to the screen.


The Galaxy Z Fold2 features a larger, 6.2-inch external screen than the previous version of Samsung, which came with a 4.6-inch external screen, and the external screen features a resolution of 2260 by 816 pixels, a Super AMOLED screen, and dimensions of 25: 9.

Samsung is due to allow customizing the color of the joints for the Galaxy Z Fold2 in some specific markets, between metallic silver, metallic gold, metallic red, and also metallic blue.


The Galaxy Z Fold2 also features a Flex mode that allows the use of specific applications in a split-screen format, and among these applications are the camera application, calendar, gallery and photos, as well as some applications that have partnered with Samsung, such as YouTube.
