How to know where you parked your car using your phone?

 

Are you having trouble remembering where you parked your car, especially in crowded places? Now you can use your Android or iOS smartphone to easily locate where you parked your car.

The (Google Maps) application on Android or iPhone phones allows you to save the location of your car when it is parked to quickly access it when returning, and iPhone users who have CarPlay or a Bluetooth connection in their cars can also use Apple Maps.

Use Google Maps to get to your car park on Android and iPhone phones:

In the beginning you will need to save your parking location in Google Maps, and you can also set notifications for parking data, and the steps do not differ on Android and iPhone phones, all you have to do is follow the following steps:

• Once you find an ideal place to park your car, open the Google Maps application on your smartphone, and search for your current location (blue dot).
• Tap the blue dot; From the location options menu, click on the Save your parking option. This will place the map pin in your current location and mark it as a parking place.
• Check that the map pin is in the correct location, zoom in (if needed) and make sure your vehicle is located.

How to find your parking spot:

• Open Google Maps on your smartphone.
• Click inside the search bar at the top of the screen.
• Click on the option Parking Location, then in the bottom right hand side, press the Directions button, to quickly determine your parking location. This will give you all the Google Maps options to find your way into your car.

To set notifications for where your car was parked, such as: where you parked and how long you parked, you can follow the following steps:

• Click on the menu tab located in the upper left corner of the screen.
• Scroll down to the option Settings.
• Click on the option Notifications.
• Click on the Getting around option. Then activate the option Parking Locations by pressing the button next to it.

How to use Apple Maps:

In order to use Apple Maps to find a parking spot, you'll need to make some settings, as follows:

• Go to the settings on your phone.
• Click on the Privacy option.
• Click on the option Location Services, and make sure to activate it.

• Scroll down on the Location services until you reach the System Services option, then click on it.
• Click on the Significant Locations option, you may be asked to enter a passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID to activate this option.
• Once you have completed these steps; Return to the Settings.
• Click on the Maps option, then activate the Show Parked Location.

Once you complete these steps, the next time you drive somewhere, you can track your car's location in Apple Maps after parking it easily. Make sure your iPhone is connected to the car via CarPlay or Bluetooth, then get out of the car. When you disconnect from the car, your phone should display a notification indicating that Maps is showing where you parked your car.

When you want to find your car; Open the Apple Maps application, then press the pin for the parked car, then press the Directions button to follow the direction of walking to your parked car.
