Oppo will launch a phone with a clamshell design and screen on the outside

Oppo has registered a patent for the design of foldable phones with a clamshell design, which comes with an external screen when the phone is folded.

The company Oppo had revealed a model for a foldable phone during MWC for the year 2019, but this model has not moved to the implementation stage yet, and again a patent for a foldable clamshell phone from Oppo appears similar to the design of the Moto RAZR phone.

Oppo's patent reveals in its clamshell folding phone a design with exposed corners when the screen is folded, as the screen is folded and extended on the outside, and the corners of the screen also appear clearly when the phone is folded, and the phone turns into a square design when folded.

The drawing of the Oppo phone confirms the design that is closer to the RAZR phone, as this design is not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip version, also it is expected that this design will lead to an exposed interface that is exposed to fingerprints.

Also, the Oppo phone appears with a frame at the top that includes camera settings that works as a main camera and also a selfie camera, which is a design that comes with some design features of the first Oppo model that was presented at MWC for 2019.

It is reported that the external screen in the Oppo clamshell phone will not need a secondary screen, but this design needs higher resistance in the design of the glass layer, so Oppo may need a glass layer with a higher standard of protection than Corning, which also supports folding.
