The latest reports confirmed Apple's plans to make the iPhone 12 Pro Max the only one that will support mmWave 5G networks, as this version comes only with an area compatible with the additional antennas.


In contrast to previous reports that indicated that Apple offers two Pro versions with mmWave 5G antennas, but a new report confirmed that this feature will be limited to the highest upcoming Apple releases.


The new report was based on an internal source from Apple, where the source of the leaks confirmed that the mmWave 5G antennas will be compatible with the iPhone 12 Pro Max with a frequency of 26-28 GHz, which is also characterized by higher energy consumption, so the iPhone 12 versions will not be compatible with the ability wit less battery with these specifications.


On the other hand, all Apple versions of the iPhone 12 series support connection to sub-6 5G networks only, on the other hand, mmWave antennas have not achieved great widespread availability so far in all countries of the world, so the iPhone 12 Pro Max model will be limited to the US and Japan markets.
