Sony back down: "Do not use our phones under water."

Sony published a statement on its website, where it warned users to use the phones under the water, and despite the fact that the water resistant IP68 standard used by Sony to use the phone at a depth of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

Sony explained that the water immersion tests are made with laboratory conditions (ideally) when the immersion of the phone and keep it for half an hour under water and then take it out (gently) and in these tests  is not run any of the phone features underwater (including camera).

It seems that Sony has received a lot of repair of telephone requests that have been damaged when used under water, and in this case, Sony is forced to be repaired for free.
It should be on Sony to be more pronounced since the beginning.
