Two big problems with the Galaxy Z Fold 2

After the Galaxy Z Fold 2 was initially shown last month at the Unpacked event, which focused more on the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, Samsung held another virtual event to give more information about the Galaxy Z Fold 2 phone. It is considered the successor to the original Galaxy Fold, which was launched in September of last year with great fanfare.

The phone represents a shift in the market, as Samsung wanted to continue pushing the boundaries of what it was able to do with smartphones and smartphone screens, and given that Samsung already offers the best displays in the market, it makes sense that this move comes with a little progress in the glass.

While the original (Galaxy Fold) was an achievement in itself, there were a lot of misgivings and sacrifices to be made, and it is worth noting that you had to wear white gloves with the phone to avoid fingerprints and stains on the glass and the protective screen that prevents the shatter.

Another big problem was the relatively small screen at the front, which was almost as useless as the notification screen with the Galaxy Z Flip, as Samsung took almost everything it learned over the past year and brought us the new Galaxy Z Fold 2 that improved in many areas. , But it still has two big problems.

The first problem:

It is no secret to anyone that innovation and willingness cost a lot of money, as companies, such as Samsung, have to spend large sums of money on development, research and actual working hours to achieve these smartphones, in addition to paying licensing fees and obtaining spare parts, so from Logically, the price of the original Galaxy Fold was close to $ 2,000.

While many had hoped that Samsung would cut the price in some way or some way. The price of the new Galaxy Z Fold 2 is $ 2,000, which is $ 20 more than its predecessor, but with that money, you can really buy a used car in some countries instead of a very fashionable smartphone.

Just because the smartphone market has grown accustomed to prices starting at $ 1,000, it doesn't make it easy to spend $ 2,000 on a second-generation product, and it likely won't do much, and this is clearly not a product for the daily  use, as Samsung has Already those markets are covered by the (Galaxy S20) phone, and you can upgrade to (Note 20) for professional or stylus users.

The second problem:

Although the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has been improved in every way imaginable, there is still one problem here, which is curvature, it is not possible to fold the screen flat, leaving a small free space between the two screens, and with a phone whose price is very high and has a brand new sports technology, This leaves Galaxy Z Fold 2 vulnerable to screens shattering.

For example: Samsung has already solved this problem, albeit with a smaller screen, with the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Flip 5G. But we also saw that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 could have taken two different paths in an effort to reduce the fold itself.
