Next Monday, LG is preparing to announce its dual-screen smartphone that was rumored earlier this year that the Korean company is working on developing under the codename Wing.
In the video that published by the South Korean company, LG already hinted that the phone has a dual screen with a main screen that rotates in a clockwise direction to form a T-shape, and the two screens can be used at the same time.
In a separate press release, LG said: It has launched the Explorer project through the video that hints at the first smartphone in this new group.
The details of the Explorer project will be announced on September 14 on the official LG Mobile YouTube channel and Facebook page.
And now a new video has been published showing Wing's phone in the hand of a user who turned the two T-screens and then placed on top of the same axis.
At the end of last August, Android Authority published a second video of the smartphone (Wing). The website specialized in Android system news had published about two days earlier, another video that showed the Wing model working with the main screen in portrait mode and the secondary screen on the side, although a previous model of the device showed a smaller screen at the bottom with the larger screen placed in a horizontal orientation.
Last May, a report from South Korea stated that LG is developing a dual-screen smartphone, whose main screen is able to rotate around an axis to reveal a secondary screen underneath.
Korean Herald stated that the phone - which ETNews said is codenamed Wing - will offer a 6.8-inch main screen, as well as a 4-inch square-shaped secondary screen. It is expected to launch at a slightly higher price than the Velvet phone when it hits the market, later this year.
And if the phone is actually launched, it will not be the first phone with a rotating screen from LG, as the Korean company has launched over the past decade a number of phones that offer the same design, including the LG LB1500 and LG LU1400. In addition to the screen rotation feature, these phones were distinguished by their support for television broadcast reception, although at the time of the traditional phones they were launched without touch screens.
And according to ETNews, Wing will use the secondary screen to perform multitasking, such as displaying images on the main screen, and accessing photo editing tools on the secondary screen.
In addition to the rotating screen, it is said: The LG phone will support fifth generation networks, will contain a processor from the Snapdragon 7 series, and will provide 3 64-megapixel rear cameras for the main.
According to ETnews, the phone is planned to be launched during the second half of this year, while the Korean Herald said: The phone will be sold at a price equivalent to $ 817.
