Qualcomm is putting pressure on the US government to allow it to sell its processors to Huawei

Due to the sanctions imposed on it by the US government, Huawei is unable to manufacture its own processors, so it is forced to import processors from other companies such as MediaTek, Samsung and Qualcomm.  Even Huawei has said that the Huawei Mate 40 Series may be the last smartphone that use Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin processors.  This is why Qualcomm sees this as an opportunity to start pressuring the US government to allow it to export its own processors to Huawei.

Qualcomm says in its presentation that Huawei will eventually be able to acquire its own equipment to manufacture 5G phones in the near future, and by doing so, it may seek partnership with other non-US companies such as Samsung and MediaTek.  In fact, rumors indicate that Huawei is looking to sign a partnership with MediaTek in 2020. If it does, then Qualcomm is losing an $ 8 billion deal annually.

Both companies have worked together in the past and have continued to do so, as Qualcomm offers its average and economical processors to some Huawei phones, but Huawei did not use Qualcomm processors in its high-end and advanced smartphones.
