Instagram offers money to TikTok users to attracts them from TikTok to its own platform
Instagram is running a competitive feature of TikTok called Reels. The feature has been launched in many markets, and is expected to make its way to the United States of America later this month. However, will this feature gain the same popularity as TikTok? While it's hard to tell if this is possible, Instagram seems to be doing all it can to make it happen.
According to a report published by the American Wall Street Journal, Instagram appears to be providing money to TikTok content creators in an attempt to lure them to its platform. The company is said to have allocated hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay the creators, as more money will be given to creators who want to create exclusive content for Reels.
For those who want to make the exclusive move, Instagram is said to require these creators to create content that is first posted on Reels before being moved to other platforms. Although the competition services aren't new, this is the time for Instagram to try out Reels.
This is because it was previously reported that the U.S. government was considering banning the TikTok app due to tensions between China and the USA, knowing that ownership of the TikTok app belongs to the Chinese company ByteDance. Assuming that this happened, this will leave a huge gap in the market. We are sure that Instagram is fully prepared to fill it.
