Galaxy S21 Ultra will arrive with Exynos 1000 processor, according to a new report

Snapdragon 875 processor from Qualcomm is expected to appear for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2020, and will be available commercially in the first quarter of the year 2021. Wccftech reports that Galaxy S21 Ultra may be the only phone that will use the Exynos 1000 processor, because the phone the regular Galaxy S21 will continue to use Exynos 991 or Exynos 992.

Snapdragon 875 processor will be based on 5nm manufacturing technology, and the Exynos 1000 processor will itself be based on 5nm manufacturing technology also knowing that it will reach mass production and commercial use during the same period.

The interesting thing is that Exynos 1000 processor will appear for the first time in the Galaxy S21 Ultra, and will feature AMD graphics processor with expected performance, on the other hand, Exynos 991 and Exynos 992 will come without AMD graphics processor.

The source further explained that Samsung had considered using the Exynos 990 processor but could not make it keep pace with Snapdragon 865, and thus would avoid using it on its flagship phones for the year 2021. It should be noted that Snapdragon 875 is considered more expensive as well, forcing Samsung to search for an alternative.

According to a report from the SamMobile website, Samsung is working on three models: SM-G991, SM-G996 and SM-G998. If Samsung maintains the naming system, these devices should be launched under the names Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 +, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.
