Court asks Samsung to pay $ 119.6 million to Apple as compensation for damages
Inter-American Court finally came with the final judgment in a case accusing Samsung copying a few of the features of the iPhone. Apple will get the 119.6 million US dollars in compensation for damages from Samsung for violating a range of patents, including "slide-to-unlock", autocorrect, and a way to detect phone numbers so they can be tapped to make phone calls.
This lawsuit broke out between Apple and Samsung in 2011 when Samsung launched the phone Galaxy S, Apple claimed that Samsung had violated the company about ten patents affiliates at once. It should be noted that the judgment of the payment of 119.6 million US dollars in compensation for the damage it have been made in February by a panel of three judges, but US Court of Appeals ordered to reconsider the issue at the time.
