LG have to pay $ 3.5 million for patents violating
LG is facing a court ruling led to a fine of $ 3.5 million, due to violation of patents pertaining to Core Wireless, a subsidiary of a Canadian company for the management of intellectual property.
Core Wireless company which owns the patents of second generation, third and fourth generation networks, alleges that LG infringed on its patents related to the user interface for smartphones.
The jury awarded the Canadian company compensation for the damage suffered.
Core Wireless company also asked the court by obtaining the amount of 10 cents per sale process for future phone violates its patents.
Those devices that infringe the patent includes the phone G2, G3 and G4, and those phones are working with KIT KAT and lollipops systems.
The Core Wireless Inc. has filed a lawsuit in 2012 against Apple, and asked for $ 100 million due to patent infringement.
The Federal Court of Texas ruled in March in favor of Apple in this case, and pointed out that there is no evidence of violation from Apple of any patents of Core Wireless company.
