CES 2016: Samsung Galaxy S TabPro is official and runs well under Windows 10
As expected, Samsung introduced during its pre-CES conference tablet 2-in-1 thought primarily for productivity, Galaxy S TabPro Contrary to what its name suggests by contrast, it only runs on Windows.
a tablet designed to compete with Microsoft's Surface Pro. Not surprisingly, it was made official that night by Samsung in the CES 2016. Not surprisingly either, and as mentioned the word "Pro" in its name, it is indeed a tablet 12 inches which may appoint a keyboard.
Intel inside
In addition to its Super AMOLED screen 12 inch WQHD definition (2160 × 1440 pixels), the Galaxy S TabPro is equipped with an Intel Core 6th Gen M processor, a dual-core 2.2 GHz. One finds there also 4GB of RAM, SSD 128-256 GB storage, two cameras of 5-megapixel (one on the back with autofocus, the other in front without autofocus), and a battery of 5200 mAh advertised as capable of holding 10.5 hours in use for a full charge taking place in 2.5 hours. All sensors and other connectivity are of course of the game, such as GPS, accelerometer, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac MIMO or LTE category 6. Finally, all measuring 290.3 × 198.8 × 6.3 mm and weighs between 693 and 696 grams depending on the model.
The main attraction of this device is its full keyboard, the tablet and supplied with a touchpad. The tablet and its accessories communicate together through a pogo pin connector, thus avoiding any problem pairing.
To go further, a multi-port adapter (HDMI, USB Type-A, USB Type-C) and a stylus are also available separately.
Windows only
As regards the operating system, two are provided, Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro, thus adapting to the needs of individuals as well as professionals. Contrary to what the left think the word "Galaxy" in the name, Android is not on board. This indicates a certain Samsung will offer a high-end line under different OS, unnamed differentiation.
The Samsung Galaxy S TabPro will be available from next February. Its price, however, is not yet known.
