One More Thing event .. How to watch it and what is expected to be announced by Apple?

A few hours separate us from this year's third Apple event; Which will be held this evening and named (One More Thing), it is the first time that Apple holds an event late in the year after two consecutive events, as the September event witnessed the announcement of new models of iPads and Apple Watch, while the October event focused On the iPhone 12 series and the new HomePod mini.

Accordingly; The only thing left for Apple to talk about at this point is the new Mac models that run on its own Apple Silicon processors, in addition to the much-awaited macOS Big Sur operating system.

It is worth noting that the possibility that Apple will announce new Mac computers based on its processors instead of Intel processors today is not entirely surprising. Because it had previously announced at its developer event (2020 WWDC) in June that it would launch the first Mac processor of its design by the end of the year, but naming the event after the famous phrase of Steve Jobs (One More Thing) indicates that Apple believes that this will be an important step In its history, we hope that these new computers are worth the wait.

Today, we will review the most important thing that Apple will announce at the (One More Thing) event, and how you can watch it?

First; When will the event take place?

Apple will hold its last event for this year today, Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at 10 AM PT / 1PM ET, and as it did in previous events this year - the event will be broadcast online from its headquarters (Apple Park) due to the ongoing Corona virus pandemic.

You can watch the event broadcast in several different ways:

Apple YouTube channel.

Apple Event website.

Apple TV Plus.

Second; What is expected to be announced by Apple during the event?

1- The first Mac computers that work with processors of Apple silicon:

It seems that Apple is planning to introduce more than one Mac computer with a new Apple silicon processor of its design instead of an Intel processor, although it promised last June to introduce one Mac computer with its new processor by the end of 2020.

As according to new reports from Bloomberg, Apple is intensifying its production of new MacBook Air devices in 13 inches, MacBook Pro in 13 inches, and MacBook Pro in 16 inches, and it will display at least two 13-inch devices. But the new devices may come without much change in design.

2- Determine when to launch macOS Big Sur:

Apple announced the operating system macOS Big Sur last June and it is in beta since July, and this week the final beta version (macOS Big Sur 11.0.1) was released for developers, which means that it is ready for release, but it remains only to set its date. .

Apple described the Big Sur update as the biggest change in the design of its computer operating system since the first appearance of (OS X) or (macOS 10) nearly 20 years ago, as the design witnessed many improvements, such as: changing the design of icons in Dock, changing the system color theme, adjusting window corner curves, new design for core applications brings more organization to many open windows, and makes interaction with applications more easy, so the whole experience looks more focused and modern; Which reduces visual complexity.

MacOS Big Sur introduces some new features, including: The largest update to Safari browser since its first launch in 2003, as the browser has become faster and more private, in addition to updating the Maps and Messages application, and including many new tools that allow users to customize their experience.

3- AirTags:

Many reports have indicated during the past period that Apple is developing a new device called AirTags to track things. Where you can attach the AirTags small device in your wallet or with your keys or other important items that are likely to be easily lost, then you can track them using Apple's Find My app.

Integration with iOS makes AirTags easy to set up. It can also take advantage of the widespread availability of Apple devices, as it can allow the AirTags device to communicate with any of the Apple devices, whether iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch, or Mac computers; To send the coordinates of the missing item. AirTags will become a strong competitor to similar devices offered by companies such as Tile, Chipolo, Orbit, and MYNT.

4- AirPods Studio:

Many reports have indicated since the beginning of this year that Apple is working on designing headphones called AirPods Studio, which combine the features of its wireless earphones AirPods, and its wireless headphones Beats as well.

Reports indicate that the new headphones may contain a number of sensors that can detect how they are worn, and re-direct the left and right audio channels to match each other. In addition to its ability to detect that the earphones are on your head or neck to play or pause music, just like: Detect that no AirPods are in the ear.

It is also expected due to the event's name One More Thing that Apple will present some surprises, such as: glasses for augmented reality, or some other products it has been working on for a while.
