Apple will launch devices with Arm processors next week

Apple plans to release three new notebook computers that will abandon Intel processors in favor of Arm processors next week.

The devices include a 13-inch MacBook Air, a 13-inch MacBook Pro, and a 16-inch MacBook Pro, according to a new report from Bloomberg.

The (One More Thing) event from Apple, scheduled for November 10, will be a major break in tradition in more than one way, as this will be the first time that the company unveils an Apple laptop that features custom CPUs from (Arm).

The One More Thing event comes on the heels of an iPhone event last month and another dedicated to Apple Watch and iPad events in September.

And there was a strong idea that this event would be when Apple first launches Mac devices with (Arm) processors, which was confirmed by the company last summer after years of rumors, but it was not clear what models might get dedicated CPUs first.

And according to Bloomberg, Apple is working also on a redesigned iMac, a new Mac mini, and Mac Pro, all of which are supported by Apple's chipset architecture.

Apple CEO, Tim Cook, said during the announcement of Mac devices with (Arm) processors: The transition to full support for its lineup with the dedicated chipset will take about two years.

This gives us a rough timeline of when we might see other non-MacBook computers being updated with the Arm processors.

Apple is testing how this could affect its software ecosystem by allowing developers to build and run programs on a Mac with a processor (iPad Pro).

And Apple computers operating with (Arm) processors allow iOS software designed for iPads and iPhones to run on Mac computers.

It also comes with an upcoming (macOS Big Sur) update, which brings iOS, iPadOS and macOS closer together than ever before.

It is possible that this operating system update will arrive or get an official release date next week, along with new MacBooks.
